Do I need a marketing consultant?
Updated: Jan 22, 2020
This week I want you to think about what you can outsource in your business to make you more productive...
Let's start by listing all the things you manage as a business owner, entrepreneur, solopreneur, what have you...
Getting more clients & networking
Managing finances: Accounting, payroll & invoices
Marketing: Social media, blogging, newsletters, website creation and maintenance, copywriting, engagement, advertising campaigns, etc.
Managing your office, team and customers/clients
Employee relations: Hiring, firing and everything in between
Tech support & related issues
Making high-level decisions
That's a lot, and I didn't even list EVERYTHING. So, in looking over that list, I have two questions for you:
1. What do you want/need to continue managing? What on this list needs your full attention? What are your top priorities?
2. What are you willing to outsource? Consider hiring an accountant, an office manager, have a lawyer on retainer, or let a professional marketer manage your online presence.
I know that hiring someone to manage an aspect of your business and relinquishing control can be scary. It's your business, and therefore is a reflection of you. BUT, if you're managing everything, each part of your business will not be getting your full attention, the attention it deserves...
You don't have to do it all by yourself, although I applaud you for trying! Think of it this way, when we clear our schedule of things that others can do and are able to focus on what's really important to us, we're more productive, efficient and create better results.
Something to think about...
