The Do's & Don'ts of Marketing

This week I want you to think about the do's and don'ts of your marketing strategy...
Marketing, social media and advertising are all wonderful things, but let's take a look at some of the DO'S and DON'TS...
DO # 1
Focus on the needs of your clients & customers. What are your clients interested in, what do they need to know, what will benefit them?
DON'T # 1
Focus on YOUR needs. Stop thinking of your profile as yours; start thinking of it as your clients' - their resource for helpful information.
DO # 2
Create a strong & consistent social media strategy. SHOW UP! Creating a posting schedule and strategy will not only help keep YOU sane, but will also keep your audience engaged. If they know you post an amazing inspirational quote every Tuesday, best believe they're gonna show up on Tuesday.
DON'T # 2
Create random content that is posted irregularly or infrequently.
DO # 3
Talk about your business without having to sell your business (a little tip I picked up from @jasminestar). Show your audience what you're up to, who some of your current clients are, a project you're working on, etc.
DON'T # 3
Constantly try selling your goods or services in all your posts. Be genuine, relevant & helpful.
DO # 4
Target your IDEAL client. Understand your client and craft content that will appeal directly to them. Check out my recent blog on finding your ideal client!
DON'T # 4
Target anyone and everyone who might need your goods/services.
DO # 5
Design & create content that's not already flooding the market. Get creative & make it your own! Now this doesn't mean you have to re-create the wheel, it just means that you should welcome the opportunity to put your own spin on it.
DON'T # 5
Recycle content that everyone else is using.
So there you go! Some quick & easy ideas to implement that are total game-changers!
